Mouthwatering Music

Kindness often flows around in unexpected ways.

With a challenge to do a random act of kindness this week, I thought over whose day I could brighten up with the resources that I have. My mom's coworker came to mind who recently got married, walking down the aisle to The Butterfly Waltz. She had listened to me play a few times and had enjoyed my playing, so used both of these to make her something special that Tuesday.
I found the sheet music for The Butterfly Waltz and attempted to practice and learn it. It's a very simple piece, but I can definitely hear why she loves it. The melody is very gentle and almost inspiring. Thankfully, because it was easy (and because I was a bit lazy), I decided to just record my half-sightread/half-practiced version of the piece.

My mom sent a link to her that night, and she absolutely loved it. 2 days later, on Thursday, my mom came home with a bag of home-baked chocolate chip cookies that were an expression of her coworker's joy and gratitude. Her mouthwatering cookies have always been delicious, and this batch was no exception.
I was planning on putting a picture of her cookies, but then forgot about my blog and just ate the cookies.
Above is a picture of some mouthwatering cookies.
Kindness isn't always reciprocated, but it is never unfruitful.
For those curious, here's the audio from the video recording.
Please excuse any lack of musicality.
