Boundless Beauty

After driving to and from school for months, I’ve grown to rely on my (parent's) car pretty heavily. When my parents told me that we had to service our car during the next day, I was mildly annoyed but couldn't do much about it.

I got up a bit earlier and got ready for school, only to find that since I hadn’t ridden my bike since before winter, my bike was completely out of air. I couldn't find our air pump, so out of options, I desperately turned to the only other means that I had to get to school: walking.

By now I was running a little late, so to try to make up for lost time, I began jogging to school while carrying a heavy backpack. With a busy day ahead of me in school that day, along with the frustration from the morning, I wasn’t in a mindset to look for anything beautiful.

However, apart from the heavy backpack and heavy breathing, the jog there was actually quite refreshing. The air was pleasantly damp and cool accompanied by a comfortable temperature. Additionally, the sun was beginning to rise, and the sky was bright with a colorful gradient. I stopped to savor this moment very briefly, saving the moment by taking a picture on my phone.

I barely got to school on time with just a few seconds left to spare. Despite a less than ideal walk to school, I’m glad I was able to enjoy the weather and sky. There're definitely no bounds to where beauty can be found, but rather only bounds from where we seek such beauty.

On my way home from school, I found Matthew and walked with home. Shoutout to him for walking to and from school every day.
