Mini Memoir

As part of our exploration of memoir unit, our English class explored the Six Word Memoir. As a challenge, we're each supposed to write our own six-word memoir. Although my memoir is definitely going to change over the next years, they key characteristics of the story of my life will often remain constant. One of the characteristics that we’ve explored in our English class is the influence of a person on the main character. Reflecting back on the people who’ve influenced me, my entire family has played an important role in my life.

I have amazing parents that have always been patient and loving. While being corrective when needed, including reasonable and beneficial discipline when I was younger, my parents have always been looking out for the best of me. Instead of putting pressure on me, my parents have always encouraged me to pursue things that I find worthwhile and am passionate about.

I also have the best brother I could ever ask for. He's always there to give me advice and to correct me when needed. He has a great sense of humor and energetic personality that never fails to make me smile. Just like my parents, he never stops encouraging me to follow my passions, even when I get worn down. My family has been my foundation; I know that I can always rely on them.
