We get hundreds of messages and notifications a day from a ton of different communication apps. The unique aspect of Discord are its servers. In addition to normal DMs and Group Chats, Discord also allows users to create servers. Servers hold a ton of potential for each group and can be customized and tailored in so many different ways.

After being in servers related to gaming, professional work, school clubs, friend groups (shout-out to our legendary CurryBois), and more, I am confident that Discord servers have even more potential to be unlocked.
